Sometimes God lets you discover new gifts at just the right season of life. Rhodema raised four children and moved to west Texas with her husband before discovering her artistic passion. With more time on her hands, she began taking workshops in different art mediums she had always wanted to try.
By accident she attended a local pastel workshop with a gifted teacher from Scotland, Margaret Evans, Pastels have become Rhodema’s favorite art medium.
From hobbyist to full-time artist, Rhodema now paints full-time and sells her work to individuals and in shows. She creates pet portraits and loves painting flowers, birds and wildlife.
Painting from her travel photos is another favorite art subject. With more time to travel now that her children are grown, she loves recreating her favorite travle sites and selling them…. IF her husband lets her take them off their wall for a sale.
